Promising The Moon of the Day: On Florida’s Space Coast today, GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich made perhaps the most grandiose promise of any candidate since JFK: A permanent American moon base by the end of his second term.

“By the end of my second term, we will have the first permanent base on the moon and it will be American,” Gingrich told a rapt audience, which responded with a standing ovation.

“We clearly have the capacity that Chinese and the Russians will never come anywhere close to us,” Gingrich said, adding that he also plans to push for the development of propulsion technology capable of getting a man to Mars.

The initiatives would be a joint public-private endeavor, he noted.

Gingrich immediately followed up his grandiose promises by saying that he believes Americans “are instinctively grandiose.” This, too, got a standing ovation.

Best Cosplay Ever (This Week) - 01.23.12

Although cosplay has been present for decades within the comics, anime, and sci-fi/fantasy fandoms, social media has played an integral role in the thriving community of costuming that exists today and cosplay communities such as Cosplay.com and the Superhero Costuming Forum. In honor of the many fans who’ve displayed excellence in the mastery of homemade disguise, craftsmanship, and sartorial superheroics, ComicsAlliance has created Best Cosplay Ever (This Week), a weekly collection of some of the most impeccable, creative, and clever costumes that we’ve discovered and assembled into our own super-showcase of pure fan-devoted talent.

Check out this week’s round-up of the Best Cosplay Ever on ComicsAlliance, featuring Abbey Chase, The Pro, Bucky Barnes, FLCL (above), and more!

Sega Dreamcast Concept revival by Elie Ahovi

The Idea: The insight of the project was really to take the best of the 90’s Dreamcast and then re-interpret it to make a new game console inspired by the old one. That’s why, work on the controllers (smart phones/tablets are used as the controllers) and a new multiplayer experience was obvious!

On the name Dreamcast Delta: Delta means 4 in greek. I wanted the name and the shape to be closely link in order to have a heavy impact on the market. 4 also means go further than the market. Nowadays, the names are around the number 3 (PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo “Wii” 3 letters…)

Note: This is a fan made design concept and has no affiliation with Sega nor will it be made into a working console.

IN HISTORY. WHY DOESNT THIS HAVE MORE NOTES?))

that gif sums up what im feeling right now

LARGEST IN HISTORY

CAN THIS BE IN A HISTORY TEXTBOOK?

When OUR Internet is in danger, we really know how to bitch.

IS THIS REALLY A THING

good lord you people are fucking stupid. If you actually studied history you’d know that more often than not, big controversial bills that infringe on rights fail the first few times they’re introduced. It is down the line, when everyone’s tired of hearing the “big bad wolf” being called, does the bill finally get passed in a modified (but still fundamentally the same) form.

Oh, you want proof? How about the bill signed by Obama allowing American citizens to be indefinitely detained if “suspected of terrorism?” Go look it up. Educate yourself.

^This. I just wished the masses would have more than half the brain to elect more responsible and rational people to office like my current hero, RAND PAUL. (he also was the most vocal opponent of the recently passed detainment bill)

http://www.prisonplanet.com/rand-paul-vows-to-block-internet-censorship-bills.html

Sadly, I live in Texas land of ignorance. Add Kentucky to the list of places i want to do during my clinical rotations.
